Proposal for the 4th SIFFACUS
College of Architectural Technicians of Barcelona
- Nov. 2003
Oriol Rius (sculptor), Antoni Poch and Xavier Nieto (architects)

BREAK DOWN THE WALLS (II) is a variant -in a larger scale- of BREAK DOWN THE WALLS. It has been presented in the exhibition THE WALL, in Montcada i Reixac. It is placed in the gardens of the Reixac's chapel, where it was inaugurated on July 2, 2005.

ORGAN FOR TRAMONTANE is a project of a sculpture made with concrete, covered with slabs of colored glass and topped by eight organ pipes operated by the force of the Tramontane. It was born as an outrageous idea, in October 1993, perhaps given by the delirious gales of Empordà.
I wanted it to be like a hurt howl of the wind - expressed through a discordant chord that will only be heard in days of intense Tramontane.

SÍSIF, for the Badalona Comunication Award
A bronze reproduction of Sisyphus has been the Badalona Comunication Award (of Badalona Radio and Television) since January 2001. It has been given, among others, to Julia Otero, Iñaki Gabilondo, Carles Francino and Maruja Torres.

Sisyphus was punished by the gods to climb a mountain with a huge stone on his back again and again. In this work, he represents the unstoppable effort to achieve the goal.

Així jo

IF I HOLD YOU is a model in scale 1:15 for a street sculpture dedicated to the city of Girona, which I love as it was my own, having been a neighbor of Bellcaire d'Empordà for a long time.

I conceived the actual work in black granite and steel and about 3 meters height.
